Farshore announced the acquisition of “CoComelon”, Moonbug’s children’s show, for book publishing. The deal, for UK, Irish and Polish rights, was made by Emma Cairns-Smith, Global Acquisitions Director, Farshore, and Bethan Garton, Commercial Director, The Point. 1888.
âFarshore’s goal is to make every child a proud reader, so I’m absolutely thrilled we’re working with them on this epic brand,â says Katie Wilkinson, Senior Business Manager, The Point. 1888. â’CoComelonâ has joined the digital children’s entertainment space and achieved growth like no one has seen before; It is currently the world’s most viewed YouTube channel and the second most subscribed. This lends itself perfectly to release and I’m excited to see the first titles later this year and then the rollout of the ever-growing list of titles in 2022 and beyond.
Launched with two titles in October 2021, Farshore will release the songs from “CoComelon” in hardback format, followed by a new release in 2022. The two upcoming titles are Bath song “CoComelon” board of directors and “CoComelon” wheels in the bus log.
âWe are delighted to release ‘CoComelon’ as part of this joint agreement with HarperCollins Poland,â says Zoe Masters, Trademark and Licensing Editor, Farshore. âWe are incredibly proud to bring to life the entertaining educational content of Moonbug which is very successful in our book publishing. At Farshore, we’re committed to ensuring a love of reading from an early age, and our âCoComelonâ titles will provide fun and engaging books for children to share and enjoy over and over again. The books will launch in 2021 and we couldn’t be more pleased with the retail response we’ve received so far. “
