Marquis Book Printing announces an acceleration of its Horizon 2025 capital investment plan by $ 30 million


It accelerated $ 30 million the commitment will be based on Marquis’ state-of-the-art digital and offset book-making platforms. $ 30 million to increase capacity, productivity and speed to market for publishers

  • Accelerated investments in 2021:
    • Double Toronto perfect binding book capacity.
    • Increasing Toronto Inkjet book printing capability with upgraded HP inkjet platforms, as well as new book finishing capability.
    • Increasing Louiseville monochrome offset printing capability.
    • Increasing Louiseville capacity with a new, highly efficient binding line.
  • Accelerated investments in 2022:
    • New EFI and ERP print production systems to improve responsiveness, fuel new automation and optimize capacity utilization.
    • Double the capacity to Montmagny for the production of sheetfed offset color books with the addition of a state-of-the-art UV press to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint while meeting the highest quality standards.
    • Triple Toronto capacity to manufacture bound books.
    • Invest in automated book packaging at the three factories.
    • Expanded integration of book storage and logistics services.
    • Hired over 70 new employees to increase throughput.

The acceleration of the Horizon 2025 investment plan represents a giant step towards the achievement of Marquis’ mission to be the preferred partner of publishers by offering innovative and integrated printing and logistics solutions.
